UPC Product Codes:
All retail products sold in the United States and Canada use the UPC bar code. Only books, (which use the ISBN / Bookland bar codes) and pharmaceuticals use other bar code symbologies. You can not make up your own UPC bar code number! All UPC Codes are assigned by GS1. If you need a UPC product code number you must either pay GS1 a yearly fee or pay a one time fee to purchase a UPC Code from someone like us.
This system explains why no two retail products will ever have the same UPC Code. GS1's current minimum purchase is a range of 100 numbers for a yearly fee of $750. Elfring Fonts Inc feels that fee is too large for most small businesses. We offer UPC Codes for a one time fee ranging from $20 - $60 depending on the number of UPC Codes you need.
